Cancer Voices SA has been actively involved in a range of projects and activities since our inception in 2007.

We aim to be representative, responsive and respectful of the diversity of our grassroot members background and experiences; we try hard to hear those views.

We welcome members to get involved, provide feedback and insights into issues of concern, attend our events and activities and participate as representatives on behalf of Cancer Voices SA

Treatment errors – constructive actions

  • 2008 Radiotherapy underdosing, 800+ patients
  • 2008 chemotherapy overdosing with Etoposide,
  • 2015 chemotherapy underdosing – 10 patients with Acute Myeloid Leukaemia AML,

Current Activities

  • Sustain and increase our Education and Wellness programs

  • Improve information and communication about cancer to raise awareness of emerging issues at the local, state and national levels

  • Advocate to improve cancer quality and safety

  • Increase consumer involvement in the development, implementation and review of South Australia’s Cancer Services

  • Advocate for the coordination of the care of children and young people living with cancer

  • Increase consumer involvement in cancer research projects and participation in clinical trials

  • Increase our partnerships with policymakers, cancer health professionals and cancer researchers
